How to Calculate Marks for NIACL AO 2025 Exam?

Candidates can calculate their estimated marks before the NIACL AO Result is declared officially using the marking scheme and the Answer Key for the NIACL AO Exam.

The NIACL AO recruitment process 2024 comprises three stages - Prelims, Mains, and Interview rounds. After completion of every stage of the exam, the candidates can calculate their tentative score with the help of the marking scheme as per the NIACL AO exam pattern 2024 of that Phase, and get a rough idea about their qualifying status. Follow the steps below to calculate your marks -

Step 1: Download Answer Key for NIACL AO Exam

As a first step, candidates should get hold of the provisional answer key from the official website to get the correct responses to all exam questions, as well as their responses. 

Step 2: Calculate Total Questions and Marks

In the Preliminary exam, there are 100 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks. This means each question is equally weighted, and every correct response brings you 1 mark. Check the no. of correct answers as per your response sheet and calculate the total number of correct answers.

Step 3: Marking for Correct Answers

Each correct answer will award candidates 1 mark. Add up the total marks for all correctly answered questions to get the initial score.

Step 4: Negative Marking for Incorrect Answers

For every incorrect answer, a penalty of 0.25 marks (¼ mark) will be deducted from the total score. Subtract this total deduction from your initial score to get the adjusted score.

Step 5: No Deduction for Unattempted Questions

No marks will be deducted for unattempted or unanswered questions. Only attempt the questions you’re confident about to minimize negative marking.

Step 6: Calculate Total Marks

Now, add up your total positive and negative score using the formula given below –

Total Score = Total Positive Score – Total Negative Score

What Next After NIACL AO Results 2024?

After qualifying in the Prelims and the Mains exams, all the shortlisted candidates are required to carry documents in the interview round for verification purposes. If the candidates fail to submit any relevant eligibility documents, then he/she will not be allowed to appear in the interview round. They are required to provide original and self-attested photocopies of the document in support of the eligibility of the candidates to be eligible for further rounds of the selection process.
