To increase their chances of selection, candidates who took the UPPCS Prelims stage examination must be completely familiar with the latest and comprehensive UPPCS Mains Syllabus. The UPPCS Mains syllabus is based on the most recent PCS exam schedule, which the commission modified commencing with UPPSC Prelims 2018. The exam is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission in order to recruit Group A and Group B officers for the Administrative Civil Services of the UP state government.
- The UPPCS Exam for Mains is expected to consist of 9 papers (Hindi, Essay, GS 1, GS 2, GS 3, GS 4, and Optional 1 and 2).

UPPCS General Studies Marking Scheme
Candidates should be aware of the marking scheme before the commencement of the examination, so can they get the exact knowledge about the types of questions, total time duration, etc. You can check the UPPCS General Studies Marking Scheme from the below-given table:
- Stage 1, i.e, the Prelims exam is an objective-based, multiple-choice question type exam.
- This is subdivided into two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, for which the information is given in the above-mentioned paragraph.
- For paper 1, every right answer will be given 1.33 marks.
- For paper 2, every right answer will be given 2 marks.
- For every wrong answer, 0.33 marks will be deducted.
