- The Indian Army Agniveer selection process has three rounds and each one of them has to be qualified by the candidates to get a final appointment.
- Earlier, candidates had to undergo a physical fitness test, followed by medical tests, and appearing for the CEE was the last step. But, now, as per the revision, common online CEE is the first step.
- In the first round, i.e. CEE, the candidates have to score qualifying marks to go for further rounds.
- The Common Entrance Examination (CEE) is going to be held in offline mode with questions being asked from different subjects.
- The second and third rounds are medical verification and physical test and both of them have to be qualified to get a name in the merit list of the Indian Army Agniveer job profile.

Indian Army Agniveer Selection Process Phase 1: CEE
The 1st phase of the Indian Army Agniveer selection process is the CEE (Common Entrance Exam). This is held for the candidates filling out the application form and paying the application fees of Rs. 250/-. The candidates should fit the Indian Army Agniveer eligibility criteria. The details of the written examination can be checked below.
- The online test will be an objective Multiple Choice Question (MCQ). As per the category of application, the candidates would be required to answer 50 questions in one hour or 100 questions in two hours.
- Full marks for every correct answer.
- No marks will be awarded for unattempted questions.
- 25% marks shall be deducted for every attempted wrong answer.
- All questions, if attempted, will be considered for evaluation, even if marked for review.
- Marks scored by the candidates in Online CEE will be Normalised to take into account variation in difficulty levels of the question paper across different sessions
Indian Army Agniveer Selection Process Phase 2: Recruitment Rally
This is phase 2 under the Indian Army Agniveer exam pattern and is conducted to check if the candidate is physically fit for the Army. This stage will include the physical fitness test, physical measurement test, and medical test.
Physical Fitness Test
Candidates wishing to join the Indian Army must have a certain level of fitness due to the nature of their job. In order to see to it that the candidates are fit to join the army, the physical fitness test is conducted.

Medical Test
A medical examination of candidates who qualify the Physical Fitness Test and
Physical Measurement Test will be conducted by the Army Medical Team at the rally site as per Army Medical standards and policy in vogue on the subject issue. Unfit candidates will be referred to MH for specialist review. Candidates have to report to the designated military hospital within 5 days from referral and review the medical exam to be completed by the military hospital within 7 days as per policy. The Indian Army may choose to conduct the following set of tests for the candidates.
- Blood hemogram: Hb, TLC, DLC
- Urine RE/ME
- Biochemistry
- Blood Sugar Fasting & PP
- Serum Cholesterol
- Urea, Uric acid, and creatinine
- LFT: Serum Bilirubin, SGOT, SGPT
- X-Ray chest (PA view)
- ECG (R)
- Tests for narcotic drugs and psychotropic substance abuse.
- Any other test necessary in the opinion of the Medical Officer
