GCET Application Form 2022 - Check Registration Process, Important Dates

The Directorate of Technical Education, (DTE) Goa administers the Goa Common Entrance Exam (GCET) to select candidates for undergraduate programs in engineering and pharmacy. Interested candidates must fill out the GCET application form on time. The GCET exam is conducted across various exam centers in Goa. Candidates need to download the GCET application form from the official website. 

• GCET Application Form received after the last date shall be summarily rejected. The Admission Committee shall not be responsible for loss in transit or postal delay in receiving the application. Any correspondence in this regard shall not be entertained.
• Applications shall fill in their correct details in the application form to avoid discrepancies or rejection of the application.
• The applicant is advised to personally submit the Application Form complete in all respects, before the due date, at the Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim, Goa, and other notified locations, and obtain the Acknowledgement Card, with registration number, as proof of submission of the form.

GCET Application Fee 

Application fees for the GCET 2022 can only be paid offline. The application fee must be remitted to the Account of “Directorate of Technical Education '' with client code ‘DRCTORTEDU’ in any branch of HDFC Bank in the State of Goa during a specified period.

How to Apply for GCET Application Process?

Candidates should be aware that the GCET 2022 application must be submitted in person or posted to the office of DTE before the declared time. The below steps are followed to fill out the GCET application form.

Steps to fill out GCET 2022 Application form:

Step 1: GCET 2022 Application form

Applicants shall download, print, and submit the application form for GCET at notified locations as per Centre opted, on specified dates as under, along with bank pay-in-slip/receipt for the application fee of Rs. 2000/- remitted in the Account of “Directorate of Technical Education” with client code ‘DRCTORTEDU’ in any branch of HDFC Bank in the State of Goa, during a specified period, along with three identical photographs as indicated, and other specified certificates (self-attested photocopies)

Step 2: Filling of Application form

Photograph affixed on the form should be a recent one, i.e., taken not earlier than 3 months prior to the date of application. Additional identical passport-size photographs are to be enclosed with this form. Your name must be written in capital letters, and your Date Of Birth (DOB) as it appears in your Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) certificate. The address must be complete, including the postal code. Telephone numbers must be given with the area codes in brackets. subject code: encircle codes of subjects you intend to attempt. 

Step 3: Submission of Application

Applicant must fill this form in his/her own handwriting, after downloading & printing this form from the website, on good quality A4 Size bond paper and submit the same at the notified locations (as per Centre opted), on specified dates, along with self-attested copies of required documents, and bank pay-in-slip/receipt Recent Photograph for the application fee of Rs. 2000/. Forms shall not be accepted after the last date specified for submission of late forms. Please attach self-attested copies of the SSCE Passing Certificate and the Std XIIth passing certificate or HSSC Examination Hall Ticket along with the application form.

Step 4: Application Fee Payment

Application fee of Rs. 2000/- must remit to the Account of “Directorate of Technical Education” with client code ‘DRCTORTEDU’ in any branch of HDFC Bank in the State of Goa during a specified period. The pay slip must be included while submitting the application fees in the opted center. Late forms shall be accepted with an additional fee of Rs.1500/- until the scheduled date. Forms shall not be accepted after the last date specified for submission of late forms.

GCET Eligibility Criteria

The candidates need to satisfy the GCET Eligibility Criteria in order to apply for this exam. The eligibility Criteria for the examination are mentioned below. Candidates failing to meet the requirements are not allowed to attend the entrance exam.

GCET Age Limit 

There are no Age Limits Criteria for applying for admission to Engineering and Pharmacy Courses offered by GCET. However, in order to be admitted to the first year of a degree programme in medicine, dentistry, homeopathy, Ayurveda, allied health sciences, or nursing, an applicant must have reached the age of 17 by the end of the academic year.

GCET Educational Qualification

 An applicant must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Goa Board or an examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, or any other examination, which in scope and standard, is deemed to be equivalent to the H.S.S.C. examination of Goa Board, and must have obtained the minimum percentage of marks.

GCET Nationality 

Admission to professional courses in the State of Goa is open to Indian nationals fulfilling the eligibility criteria under various categories. Non-resident Indians holding Indian passports may apply for seats reserved under the NRI category. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) /Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders are considered eligible for admission to seats under NRI Category. 

Number of Attempts

There is no limit on the Number Of Attempts to apply for the GCET 2022. Candidates can apply as many times as they want for the GCET Entrance Exam.

Important Documents Required to fill the form GCET

The following papers should be reviewed by students who intend to submit an application for the GCET 2022, and they should have them available when completing the forms.

• Two recent, identical passport-size photographs (taken not earlier than 3 months from the date of application), one of which should be affixed to the Application Form B in the space provided, and the other photograph should be affixed to the Acknowledgement Card. 
• Statement of marks of H.S.S.C. (Std. XIIth) or its equivalent examination. 
• Birth Certificate from Competent Authority. 
• Certificate of residence from the Mamlatdar, indicating the period of continuous residence (minimum last 10 years) of the applicant in Goa
• Leaving/Transfer certificate from school or college attended last, signed by the Headmaster / Principal of the institute (if applicable). 
• Applicants claiming seats under SC/ST Category must produce a valid Non-Migrant Caste Certificate in the prescribed proforma from the Dy. Collector of the area concerned. Certificates issued by Village Panchayat/Mamlatdar shall not be accepted. 

GCET Important instructions / Do’s and Don'ts

The applicant must pay attention when completing the application form. They must keep in mind to adhere to the rules.

Do’s

• Candidates must double-check all their submitted information before submitting their application.
• Give precise facts such as your phone number, email address, and address.
• For further communication with the authorities, every detail is crucial.
• Before submitting their GCET 2022 application, candidates are advised to choose the language or medium of the question paper.
• Identical passport-size photographs (taken not earlier than 3 months from the date of application), should be affixed to each of the Application Forms (A/B) submitted, in the space provided, and on the Acknowledgement Card.

 Don'ts

• In case it is found that an applicant has submitted more than one Application Form for a particular course, the application submitted last will be considered, and his/her earlier application(s) and registration numbers shall automatically stand canceled. 
• Don't fill incorrect test centers. Under no circumstances will the center that has already been assigned be modified.
• Applications received after the last date shall be summarily rejected. The Admission Committee shall not be responsible for loss in transit or postal delay in receiving the application. Any correspondence in this regard shall not be entertained. Hence don’t make last-minute submissions of the application form.
