The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TN TRB) has released TN TRB PG Assistant Eligibility criteria for the candidates applying for the post of Post Graduate Assistant, Physical Director Grade I, and Computer Instructor Grade I. Each applicant needs to fulfill all the TN TRB PG Assistant Eligibility criteria to be eligible to apply. The various criteria that one needs to fulfill include age limit, educational qualification, nationality, number of attempts, etc. The commission had released a total of 1996  vacancies for the TN TRB PG Assistant Recruitment 2025 cycle. 

• The TN TRB PG Assistant Eligibility criteria are mandatory to all, and in case a candidate does not fulfill the asked criteria, his/her application will be rejected. 
• As per the TN TRB PG Assistant Eligibility, the candidate must not be above 53 years of age.

TN TRB PG Assistant 2025 Eligibility Criteria - Age Limit

According to the previous official notification released by the board, the maximum age limit for all the candidates was 53 years. No candidate would be allowed to appear for the selection process without credible certification proof of date of birth. An official notification for the 2025 cycle is released by the authorities. 

TN TRB PG Assistant 2025 Eligibility Criteria - Educational Qualification

Post Graduate Assistant in Languages

Post Graduate degree in the relevant subject with at least:

• 50% marks (or its equivalent) and B.Ed. from NCTE-recognized institution OR 45% marks (or its equivalent) with B.Ed. from NCTE under 2002/2007 norms OR 50% marks with B.A.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed. from NCTE recognized institution
• Bachelor's and Master's degree must be in the same language or its equivalent.

Post Graduate Assistant in Academic Subjects

• Post Graduate with 50% marks + B.Ed. from NCTE-recognized institution OR 45% marks + B.Ed. under 2002/2007 NCTE regulations OR 50% marks + B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
• Bachelor's and Master's degree must be in the same subject or its equivalent.

Physical Director Grade – I

One of the following Bachelor’s degrees:

• B.P.Ed. / B.P.E. / B.Sc. in Health and Physical Education and Sports with 55%
• B.P.Ed. (Integrated) 4-year degree with 50%
• B.P.E. 3-year course with 50% (under 2002 NCTE norms)

M.P.Ed. of minimum 2 years from NCTE-recognized institution.

Computer Instructor Grade – I

• Post Graduate with: Minimum 50% marks + B.Ed. OR 45% + B.Ed. under 2002/2007 NCTE norms OR 50% + B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
• Bachelor's and Master's degrees must be in the same subject (Computer Science).

Special Schools for Differently Abled (Visually/Hearing Impaired)

Post Graduate with 50% marks and B.Ed. in Special Education (Visually/Hearing Impaired) OR Senior Diploma in Teaching the Visually/Hearing Impaired recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India

TN TRB PG Assistant 2025 Eligibility Criteria- Nationality

The requirements for the nationality is given below, candidates should check it out:

• Must be a citizen of India.
• Candidates from other states are also allowed to apply for the post, they should fulfill the asked requirements by the commission.

TN TRB PG Assistant 2025 Eligibility Criteria - Number of Attempts

There is no such foundation regarding the number of attempts as per the official notifications of the commission. Candidates can apply as many times as they want before crossing the maximum age limit.

TN TRB PG Assistant 2025 Eligibility Criteria - Experience

There is no prior experience required to apply for the TN TRB PG Assistant Post. Candidates can easily apply if they fulfill all the other TN TRB PG Assistant Eligibility Criteria.

TN TRB PG Assistant 2025 Eligibility Criteria - Important Points

Before applying for the post, candidates should know these points given below to avoid any sort of delay in further selection processes.

• All the candidates have to showcase their verified documents when asked by TN TRB.
• If there is no valid proof of their date of birth, then candidates have to show their date of birth certificate in order to prove their age. 
• Knowledge of the local language will be a plus point.
• Candidates with more than one spouse will not be entertained in any segment of the selection process.
• Government servants with any sort of temporary or permanent prohibition are strictly not allowed to appear in the selection process.
• Candidates who are banned from other government exams are also not allowed to appear in the selection process.
