What is the ratio of the average number of students called for an interview from institute C in the period 2018 to 2020 to the average number of students called for an interview from institute B in the same period?

Given:

For institute B,

• The  number of students called for an interview in year 2018 is 120 
• The  number of students called for an interview in year 2019 is 92 
• The  number of students called for an interview in year 2020 is 100

For institute C,

• The number of students called for an interview in year 2018 is 108 
• The number of students called for an interview in year 2019 is 100 
• The number of students called for an interview in year 2020 is 80

Calculation :

 The average number of students called for an interview from institute B in the period 2018 to 2020 = \(120+92+100 \over 3 \) = 104

 The average number of students called for an interview from institute C in the period 2018 to 2020 = \(108+100 +80 \over 3 \) = 96

Now,

The ratio of the average number of students called for an interview from institute C in the period 2018 to 2020 to the average number of students called for an interview from institute B in the same period is 96:104  = 12 : 13.
