Speed of boat:stream = 7:2 ⇒ Let boat = 7x, stream = 2x
Upstream = 7x − 2x = 5x
Downstream = 7x + 2x = 9x
Upstream: 120 km in 8 hours ⇒ 15 km/hr ⇒ 5x = 15 ⇒ x = 3
Downstream speed = 9x = 27 km/hr
In 3 hrs: Distance = 27 × 3 = 81 km
