Statement:
M < T ≤ Q < D; P > A = W ≥ D
Conclusions:
I. W ≥ T
II. P > Q
Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven statements: M < T ≤ Q < D; P > A = W ≥ D
On combining: M < T ≤ Q < D ≤ W = A < P
Conclusions:
I. W ≥ T → False (as T ≤ Q < D ≤ W, so it is definite that W is greater than T. It is not possible that W is equal to T.)
II. P > Q → True (as Q < D ≤ W = A < P, so P is greater than Q.)
W is greater than T but not equal to T so the first conclusion doesn't follow. But it is definite that P is greater than Q so the second conclusion follows.
The correct answer is Only II follows.
