Download Solution PDFA cyclist covered a distance of 900 km in 25 hours. What is the speed of the cyclist (in m/s) ?
Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
Distance covered is 900 km
Time taken to cover is 25 hours
Formula used:
Speed = Distance/Time
Calculation:
Here, we have distance = 900 km , time = 25 hours
As, Speed = Distance/Time
Speed = 900/25 = 36 km/h
But, we have to find speed in m\s
As, 1km/h = 5/18 m/s
So, 36km/h = 36 × 5/18 = 10m/s
Hence, speed of the cyclist is 10 m/s.
