BPSC Prelims Exam Pattern 2025

The BPSC 71th CCE Prelims exam will be a multiple-choice question-based examination featuring objective-type questions.

• This exam will be of 150 marks and consists of 150 questions.
• Each correct answer is awarded 1 mark.
• 1/3rd mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. 
• The examination will be organized for a duration of 2 hours.

BPSC Mains Exam Pattern 202

The 71th BPSC Mains Exam Pattern comprises a total of 5 papers out of which the General Hindi Paper and Optional Paper will be qualifying in nature. At the time of the application process, the candidates can choose any one optional subject out of the given list of 34 subjects.

• The exam will be conducted for a total of 1100 marks but candidates will receive scores out of 900 marks, as Hindi & Optional Paper are qualifying in nature. 
• As per the latest change in the BPSC Mains Exam Pattern 2023, the Optional Paper will now have MCQ-type questions. 
• Each examination will be organized for 3 hours and will be a subjective type of examination (except for the optional paper).
