The GPAT counselling is expected to begin in July. The dates for the GPAT counselling will be announced shortly. The GPAT exam is conducted by the NTA but it will not carry out the counselling process. The result will be released on 25th June 2025.

• The participating colleges and the institutes are the ones who will conduct the GPAT 2025 counselling. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has circulated the guidelines to the participating colleges and institutes. Check important GPAT exam dates here.
• The main guideline mentioned is that the institutions must use the scores obtained by the candidates as the baseline to allot seats in the AICTE-approved programs along with the other criteria that may exist, as applicable. However, the admission authorities are subject to the decision about what weightage is given to a particular section.

GPAT Counselling 2025 - Complete Process

The GPAT counselling will take place over 4 steps. The details for all the stages are elaborated below: 

• Document Verification: After clearing the GPAT exam, the candidate will be called for the counselling round according to their ranks. The candidates must check the official website to know the dates. All the documents listed below must be carried by the candidates to the counselling centre. If the candidate fails to present any one of the documents, his/her candidate will be cancelled. 
• Filling College/Seat Options: Consequent to the completion of the document verification round, the candidates will have to save and lock their prioritised colleges. The list of the colleges will be available on the official website on the link of ‘Web Option Entry Portal’. The candidates must make their choices wisely as it cannot be changed once entered. 
• Seat Allotment: The allocation of seats will be done on the basis of the GPAT scores. The chances of getting a seat in the preferred institution/college are higher if the candidate has been featured in the merit list with an excellent score. Seat allotment order is available on the official website. 
• Reporting at the Allotted Institution/College: As soon as the seats are allotted to the candidates. They must report to their respective institutions with the necessary documents and certificates. The candidates must now pay the admission fee to complete the admission process.

• Original copy of 10 class mark sheet
• GPAT Rank Card
