The BPSC Bihar APO Syllabus Preliminary Examination is the first stage of the selection process for aspiring Civil Judges in the state judiciary. It is an objective-type exam conducted on an OMR-based system, comprising two papers: General Knowledge and Law Paper. Paper 1 carries 100 marks whereas Paper 2 carries 150 marks, with a duration of two hours per paper. Each correct answer in the Bihar APO Preliminary Examination carries 1 mark, while 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer. The Prelims is a screening test and candidates must qualify to proceed to the Mains Examination.

The BPSC Bihar APO Syllabus Main Examination is a subjective exam structured to examine a candidate’s in-depth understanding of legal concepts, general knowledge and language proficiency. This stage consists of seven papers. Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3 carry 100 marks each whereas Paper 4, Paper 5, Paper 6, and Paper 7 carry 150 marks each.

The Viva Voce is the final stage of the selection process having a weightage of total of 100 marks. A candidate must secure at least 35% marks in the final list. In this stage, candidates who have successfully cleared the BPSC APO Main Examination will appear before an esteemed panel of interviewers. They will be assessed on their legal knowledge, analytical abilities and overall personality traits to determine their suitability for the judicial role.

BPSC Assistant Prosecution Officer Results have been released. the interviews were scheduled from 30/10/2023 to 03/11/2023. Phase I of the interviews was earlier conducted from 03/10/2023 to 07/10/2023. The Mains exam was held in two shifts from 12th November to 14th November 2022 and in a single shift from 15th November 2022. The candidates are selected after qualifying for all these rounds. This is for the 2020 cycle. The candidates applied for the BPSC APO Mains from 21st September 2022 to 7th October 2022.
