UP PCS J Age Limit 2025
For the UPPSC Civil Judge Eligibility, candidates must meet the UP PCS J Age Limit criteria :
- The minimum age limit is 22 years.
- The maximum age limit is 35 years.
- The age is calculated as on 1st July 2023 (i.e., the candidate must not have been born before 2nd July 1988 and after 1st July 2001).
These age norms are applicable to general category candidates. Reserved category candidates are eligible for additional age relaxations as per government rules.

The UP PCS J Exam provides relaxation in the upper age limit for certain categories. The details are as follows:

UP PCS J Educational Qualification
The applicant must possess a Bachelor of Laws from a university established by law in the U.P. from a university that has been recognized by the government in order to qualify for the position of UP PCS J . In addition to this, the candidates meet the UP PCS J Qualification -
- Must hold a Bachelor of Laws degree from an Indian university that the Governor has approved for this purpose, preferably one that was founded by law in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
- Must be a member of the Faculty of Advocates in Scotland, an English or Northern Irish barrister, or an advocate enrolled under the provisions of the Advocate Act of 1961 who is qualified to practice in the court or courts below.
- Must have a solid understanding of Hindi written in Devnagri.
