How to Apply for the UPPSC APO Exam?
The candidates can apply for the UPPSC APO post on the official website of the commission. The
Candidates must be vigilant while filling out the application form to eliminate any errors. The. steps listed below must be followed by the candidates to complete the application form:
Step 1: Go to the official website of UPPSC.
Step 2: Select the ‘Registration’ option mentioned beside the ‘Assistant Prosecution Officer’ option.
Step 3: The candidates will have to fill in all the required information such as Name, Guardian’s Name, Educational qualification etc in the respective fields.
Step 4: After filling in the information, click on the ‘Preview and Validate’ option.
Step 5: The applicants are required to attach their photograph and signatures in the specified dimensions.
Step 6: Pay the application fee as mentioned by the UPPSC guidelines.
Step 7: The candidates can now download the application form and save it for future use.

Prerequisites for the UPPSC APO Application Form 2022
To complete the UPPSC APO application form, the candidates are required to have certain documents and certificates on hand. All the necessary documents must be kept ready while filling out the application form. The required documents are listed below:
- Provisional or Degree certificates
- Birth certificate
- A scanned copy of the candidate’s signature
- A scanned copy of the candidate’s photograph
- Domicile certificate
- Identity Proof (Aadhar Card, Driving License, any government ID card)
- Backward Caste Certificate (for SCs/STs/ OBCs)

UPPSC APO Application Fees 2022
The Uttar Pradesh Public Services Commission (UPPSC) has stated category-wise application fee in its official notification. The candidates can pay through three modes, that are, net banking, card payments and other payment modes. After selecting the prescribed mode, the candidates will have to download the ‘Payment Acknowledgment Receipt ’ by clicking on ‘Print Payment Receipt’. Category-wise application fees is tabulated below:

Common Reasons to Reject UPPSC APO Application Form
While filling out the UPPSC APO application form, the candidates must avoid mistakes at any cost. These simple errores will lead to the rejection of the application form. If the application form is rejected, these might be the reasons for rejection:
- As per the official notification released by the UPPSC, The Basic Registration of such candidates will not be accepted who have been debarred from U.P. Public Service Commission and their period of debarment has not been completed.
- The candidates must attach their Date of Birth certificate, or else their application form will be rejected.
- The application does not have the self attested copies of the relevant documents.
- If the application form has invalid information.

UPPSC APO Vacancy Details 2022
The UPPSC has declared the number of vacancies available for the post of Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO). The official number of vacancies is 44 which may increase or decrease depending on circumstances/requirement. Reservation for the SC/ST, EWS, OBC will be provided as per the government guidelines. The UPPSC has not stated the category-wise division of the vacancies.

UPPSC APO Eligibility Criteria
The applicants must meet all the UPPSC APO Eligibility Criteria before applying for the examination. The basic eligibility criteria are as follows:
Age Limit
The age bracket to apply for the UPPSC APO exam is 21 year to 40 years as of 1st July 2022. Age relaxations will be provided by the commission.
Educational Qualification
The minimum educational qualification for UPPSC APO examination is a Law Degree from a recognised university/institution.

UPPSC APO Exam Pattern and Selection Process 2022
The UPPSC APO Syllabus and Exam Pattern is divided into two written examinations: prelims and main exam. An overview for both the exams is given below:

The candidates must be mindful of the negative marking. For each incorrect response, 0.33 marks will be deducted. There shall be no negative marking for unanswered questions.
UPPSC APO Selection Process 2022
The UPPSC APO Recruitment process consists of 4 stages:

- Medical Examination
