27th March 2024: OPSC OMAS 2024 Final Answer Key Out!

OPSC OMAS 2024 Final Answer Key has been released for the written examination which was held on 19th November 2024. Earlier, the Commission has recommended 27 candidates in order of merit for appointment to the posts/services coming under the Odisha Municipal Administrative Services (Group-A & B)-2021, pursuant to Advt. No. 06 of 2022-23.  

22nd March 2024: OPSC OMAS Recommendation List Out!

OPSC OMAS Recommendation List has been released. The Commission has recommended 27 candidates in order of merit for appointment to the posts/services coming under the Odisha Municipal Administrative Services (Group-A & B) -  2021, pursuant to Advt. No. 06 of 2022-23.  

8th March 2024: OPSC OMAS Interview Notice Out!

OPSC has released the interview notice. The DV and interview round will be conducted on 18th and 19th March 2024.

22nd November 2023: OPSC OMAS Answer Key Out

The OPSC OMAS Answer Key has been released. This is the provisional answer key for the exam held on 19th November 2023. Objections against the same can be submitted offline within 7 days of publishing of the answer key.

13th November 2023: OPSC OMAS Admit Card Out

The  OPSC OMAS Admit Card has been released. This is for the OPSC OMAS is scheduled on 19th November 2023.

8th November 2023: OPSC OMAS Exam Schedule Out

The OPSC has released the exam schedule for OPSC OMAS 2021. The exam will be held on 19th November 2023 in two shifts as follows.

• Paper I: 10.00 AM to 12.00 PM
• Paper II: 01.30 PM to 3.30 PM.

OPSC OMAS Recruitment Vacancy

Step 1: Visit the official website https://www.opsc.gov.in/. 

Step 2: Click on the Apply Online option on the right side of the screen.

Step 3: Search for OPSC Odisha Municipality Administrative Services (OMAS) 2022 notification and click on it.

Step 4: Fill the OPSC OMAS 2022 application form with all the mandatory details.

Step 5: Upload all the required documents including your passport size photograph, left thumb impression, certificates, etc.

Step 6: Revise your application form before proceeding.

Step 7: After successful submission of application form applicants may note their unique registration ID number and take a printout copy of the online application for further reference.

Remember you will be later on verified for the claims made by you in the application form, hence be very particular with this step. There will be no modifications allowed in the following particulars i.e. Name of the Aspirant, Educational Qualifications, Post applied, Caste Category, DOB, Address, Email ID, Centre of Examination, etc. after the final submission.

OPSC will only accept the online application for the recruitment in Odisha Municipality Administrative Services.

Reasons for Rejection of OPSC OMAS Recruitment Application 2024

Here are certain conditions that can lead to the rejection of the candidate's application form for OPSC OMAS recruitment 2024:

• If the application form is incomplete/ incorrect in any respect.
• Non-receipt of hard copy of the online application.
• Declaration not signed in the hard copy of the online application.
• Non-payment of application fee.
• Not fulfilling eligibility criteria.
• Suppressing the facts about needed information.
• If the candidate fails to furnish the required documents at any stage.
• Application received through any other mode except online mode is subjected to rejection.

OPSC OMAS Application Fee 

A candidate is required to a non-refundable sum of 500/- as their application fees. One should also note that the application fees paid will not be refunded or adjusted under any circumstances. 

Examination Fee Concession

The candidates of SC, ST, and PH (not less than 40% disability) of Odisha state are exempted from the examination fee. Candidates claiming fees concession needs to furnish all the valid documents, otherwise, their application will be rejected by the commission.

Selection Process for OPSC OMAS Recruitment

Candidates will be selected by the marks obtained in two successive selection processes. There will be no marks for the certificate verification round.  

Written Examination

• It consists of Paper-I and Paper-II on General Studies.
• Both the papers are objective types of 200 marks each.
• Once the applicant clears both the papers, he/she is eligible for the next round of the selection process.  

Viva Voice Test i.e. Interview

Candidates have to compulsorily appear in all the stages of the exam. The final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the applicants in the written examination and interview round.

Certificate Verification Round

• This round does not carry any marks. 
• This is the second round of OPSC OMAS recruitment 2022, where all the claims made by the applicants in the application process are verified.
• In this round candidates have to submit the hard copy of the online application and true copy of all the documents mentioned on the commission's website.
• All the documents sent should be duly self-certified by the candidates.  

 Certificates Needed for Candidate Verification

Candidates must be ready with the following documents for the candidature verification round. The candidate is subjected to rejection if there are any discrepancies found by the commission in the claims made by the candidate.  

1. HSC Marksheet in support of declaration of age. 
2. Intermediate/ +2 certificate.
3. Bachelor’s Degree certificate.
4. Certificate of any other qualification.
5. Certificates of conduct.
6. Community certificate as per the norms.
7. Discharge certificate from Commanding Officer wherever applicable.
8. Medical certificate in case of disability.
9. OPSC copy of challan (pay-in-slip).
10.  2 recent passport size photos.
11.  No objection certificate.

Important Note: Candidates also have to submit the self-attested copy of the above-mentioned documents with the printout/ hardcopy of the online application to the commission during the verification process. 

Candidates have to produce the original documents during the interview round.

OPSC OMAS Exam Pattern

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) Odisha Municipality Administrative services 2022 consists of three stages i.e. Written Examination, Verification Round, and Interview. In the table below we'll discuss the complete exam pattern which includes the type of exam, duration of the exam, and maximum marks awarded for each exam.  

• Paper-I & Paper-II is a subjective paper and will be set in the English language. 

• Both the papers will have objective type questions (MCQs).

• There will be negative marking of one-fourth of the mark assigned to the question in the written examination will be deducted for every wrong answer.

• Before the interview round and after the written examination, all the candidates who cleared the written examination will have to submit the self-attested copy of all the documents mentioned on the website for certificate verification.

OPSC OMAS Syllabus

The candidates who are willing to apply for the OPSC OMAS recruitment 2022 must know the syllabus in detail. This exam consists of a written examination which is further divided into two papers I.e.
