Screening Test

The Screening Test evaluates candidates through 100 MCQs, assessing general knowledge and relevant subject topics within a 2-hour duration.

• The Screening Test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with a total duration of 2 hours.
• Each question carries equal marks, and one-fourth mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
• Candidates must darken the correct option (A, B, C, or D) or the 'E' circle if leaving a question unanswered.
• The exam will be conducted in English, and failure to mark over 10% of questions will lead to disqualification.

Subject Knowledge Test

The Subject Knowledge Test assesses candidates' expertise in their respective fields and plays a crucial role in the selection process. 

• The test has a duration of 3 hours and a total of 150 marks.
• Candidates who score a minimum of 35% will be eligible for the interview, with two times the number of vacancies being shortlisted.
• The Subject Knowledge Test carries a weightage of 87.5% in the overall selection process.

Interview

The Interview/Viva-Voce is the final stage of the HPSC Lecturer selection process, focusing on assessing the candidate's suitability for the role. 

• The interview carries a weightage of 12.5% in the overall selection process.
• The final merit list will be based on the combined marks of the Subject Knowledge Test and Interview/Viva-Voce.
