- A plane mirror is a mirror with a flat (planar) reflective surface.
The number of images formed when the object is placed between two plane mirrors:
⇒ θ = Angle between the two plane mirrors, and n = number of images formed
- If \(\frac{360}{θ}\) = even number
\(⇒ n=\frac{360}{θ}-1\)
- If \(\frac{360}{θ}\) = odd number and the object lies symmetrically
\(⇒ n=\frac{360}{θ}-1\)
- If \(\frac{360}{θ}\) = odd number and the object lies asymmetrically
\(⇒ n=\frac{360}{θ}\)
