⇒ In the given triangle,
⇒ Triangle ABC is similar to triangle ADE
⇒ Then according to the theorem
⇒ Sides, \(\frac{AD}{AB}\) = \(\frac{DE}{BC}\)
⇒ Let the length of AB = x units
⇒ \(\frac{AB+BD}{AB}\) = \(\frac{DE}{BC}\)
⇒ \(\frac{x+4}{x}\) = \(\frac{6}{3}\)
⇒ 3x + 12 = 6x
⇒ 12 = 3x
⇒ x = 4
Therefore, the length of AB is 4 units.
