A form of non-store retailing that uses advertising to contact consumers who, in turn, purchase products without visiting a retail store is called Direct Marketing.
There is face-to-face communication between the salesperson and the consumer.	The communication is carried out through different tools such as television, radio, post, etc.
Only a limited number of customers can be targeted by the seller in direct selling.	With the help of social and various other mediums, a large number of customers can be targeted by a direct marketer.
It is a very old method of selling that dates back to the time of peddler selling.	This method became popular after the introduction of the internet in the marketing world.

Therefore, from the above explanation, it is clear that both statements are not correct.
