Calculation:

Let Y's income = 100

Then X's income = 100 - 60% of 100 = 100 - 60 = 40

Difference between Y and X's income = 100 - 40 = 60

⇒ Y's income is \(\dfrac{60}{40} \times 100 \)% more than X's

⇒ Y's income is 1.5 × 100 = 150% more than X's
