Given Data:

Initial increase: 15%

Later decrease: 20%

Concept:

Calculation of successive percentage changes.

Calculation:

Let the initial price be 100.

After increase of 15%, price becomes 115.

After decrease of 20%, price becomes 0.8 × 115 = 92.

Therefore, the percent change in the price is a decrease of 8%.
