Now,

2000 to 2005 = 5 Years (4 Ordinary Years and 1 Leap Year).

And, In 5 Years = 1 Leap year and 4 Ordinary Years.

So, 1 Leap Year has 2 odd days,

And, 4 Ordinary Years have 4 odd days.

Total odd days = 2 + 4 = 6.

6 odd days → 6/7 = 0 weeks and 6 odd days.

then, 18 August 2005 will be Friday + 6 = Thursday.

Now, the number of days between 18 August 2005 to 21 August 2005

= 21 - 18 = 3 days.

= 3 days → Thursday + 3 days.

So, 21 August 2005 will be Thursday + 3 = Sunday.

Hence, the correct answer is "Option 1".
