Even digits: 4, 2, 2, 6
Odd digits: 5, 3, 9, 7
1 is added to each even digit: 5, 3, 3, 7
2 is subtracted from each odd digit: 3, 1, 7, 5
New number: 53173357
Left side 53173357 Right side
2nd number from left: 3
6th number from right: 1
Their sum is: 3 + 1 = 4.
