जहां , τ = मिट्टी का अपरूपण प्रतिबल

σ = मिट्टी का लम्बवत प्रतिबल

c = संसंजन

ϕ = आंतरिक घर्षण या अपरूपण प्रतिरोध का कोण

गणना:

शुष्क मिट्टी नमूना, So, C = 0

σ = τ = 120 kN / m2

τ = 0 + σ tan ϕ ⇒ 120 = 120 tan ϕ

⇒ tan ϕ = 1

⇒ ϕ = 45°
