It takes charisma, acting ability, physical stature, and international appeal to succeed in both WWE and Hollywood. Examples of those who have done it include The Rock, John Cena, and Batista. The Rock is always among the world’s highest-paid actors, for instance.
WWE stars are also used to acting out “heel” and “face” characters, a skill that easily translates into Hollywood acting gigs. This helps them transition easily from the ring to the big screen. Below, we examine three of the current WWE stars who are perfectly poised to take over Hollywood, just like their predecessors.
Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns needs no introduction. He’s one of WWE’s biggest stars today and works on a limited schedule due to his top-tier status. Earning a reported $15 million annually from WWE, Reigns has already dipped his toes into Hollywood. He made a cameo alongside The Rock in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.
With his tall physique, strong screen presence, and natural charm, Reigns possesses all the qualities required to make it in action movies. To see him starring in a blockbuster action film would not be so surprising after all. His star quotient can make him establish a good Hollywood career in the next few years.
Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes’ been around wrestling forever. After a run in AEW, where he really laced up his boots, Cody returned to WWE in 2022 in a big way and soon found himself main-eventing. With a huge fan base, Cody is already a brand—and that might translate very nicely into a career in movies.
Rhodes is a tremendous appearance and on-screen presence. During a recent Pardon My Take interview, the one-time Undisputed WWE Champion teased he might be the next WWE wrestler to make the move to Hollywood, joining Cena and The Rock on the other side. At 39, Cody still has a couple of good years ahead of him in WWE, but his Hollywood book might not be too far away.
Liv Morgan
Liv Morgan is regarded as one of the sexiest and most beloved female WWE stars in the present day. Due to her stunning features, athletic build, and crowd-pleasing performances, she has never failed to make waves. She has recently stepped away from WWE to film Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo, and previously had a supporting role in The Kill Room (2023).
Liv has already intimated that her attention could turn towards Hollywood in the near future. With her increasing experience and innate talent, she appears to be poised to make the leap into film. She has a special personality and a glamour which suits the screen to perfection.
