Three Labourers Killed After Basement Wall Collapses In Greater Noida

Construction work was underway at Asara Private Limited when a basement wall collapsed, trapping five labourers underneath. Of the five, three lost their lives, while the other two were admitted to the hospital for treatment.

In a tragic incident, three labourers were killed after a basement wall collapsed in Greater Noida. The incident took place under the Ecotech-1 police station limits.

Construction work was underway at Aasara Private Limited when a basement wall collapsed, trapping five labourers underneath. Of the five, three lost their lives, while the other two were admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Deceased were natives of UP

The deceased have been identified as Pushpendra, Anita, and Malti, who were natives of Uttar Pradesh. The injured labourers have been identified as Dheerendra and Umesh Kumar, both residents of Bulandshahr. 

A senior police officer said a probe has been launched into the matter, and police personnel have been deployed on the site. 

Fire breaks out at shop in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk

In a separate incident, a fire broke out at a shop in Chandni Chowk area of Delhi on Thursday.

The incident was reported at shop No 419, Splendid Road, opposite parade ground parking and near The Tara Hotel. 

Eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames. No injuries have been reported so far. The exact cause of the fire and the extent of damage remain unclear.
