His post featured stunning images of the Grand Canyon of Odisha, often referred to as Kanhakund. This place, located just 120 km from Sambalpur, is an extraordinary natural wonder. In his post, Aaraynsh described the place as ‘an underrated hidden gem.’ He wrote, “Clear blue waters pass through granite beds. I wonder why such places are not on the tourism map of India.”
Anand Mahindra responded to the post, calling it ‘AMAZING’. Odisha Tourism‘s official X handle was quick to respond to Mahindra’s request. They said, “Thank you! We’re thrilled to have your attention on Kanhakund, one of Odisha’s most stunning hidden gems which has the potential to become a national and global hotspot.”
The department further highlighted their commitment to showcasing Kanhakund and many such underrated treasures. They wrote, “we’re working on enhancing infrastructure, creating sustainable tourism experiences, and promoting such unique destinations on national and international platforms. With your encouragement, we believe such unexplored destinations of Odisha will truly shine.”
