Bizarre incidents on the Delhi Metro occur almost every day. Now, nothing seems really SURPRISING or NEW. Whether it’s someone applying full makeup or someone singing a bhajan-keertan in the middle of a coach, nothing transferred to social media seems shocking. Now, another strange video is floating around the internet. A lady is shown just calmly standing next to the metro door, holding a book in one hand, with a sheet mask on her face. She was not loud or disruptive, just relaxed in a roughly half-full coach.
When the video of the moment was uploaded to social media, it surprised even many social media users. No one bothered her, so what was the harm? Many others defended that she was allowed to have self-care while in public and questioned why people would record them when they were not given permission.
The Delhi metro video that is now viral, where the account ‘thedopeindian’ shared on Instagram the caption “N95 face mask se sheet mask in public, sab dekhliya humne. Lekin yeh naya trend kya hai?” The video was shared six days ago, and gained 1.1 million views from social media users. As each social media user rushed to the comment section, they began reacting to the viral video. While some viewers thought it was quirky, many instructed that the video should not have been recorded at all.
