Lok Sabha 2024: BJP Secures 28 Seats In Maharashtra Seat Allocation

In the opposition, the Sena (UBT) is contesting 21 seats, Congress 17, and NCP (led by Sharadchandra Pawar) 10, following their collaboration after the dissolution of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in June 2022 due to a Shiv Sena split

In Maharashtra, the Mahayuti government has finalized the allocation of all 48 seats. The breakdown is as follows: the BJP will contest 28 seats, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena will vie for 15 seats, Ajit Pawar’s NCP will aim for four seats, and the Rashtriya Samaj Paksha (RSP) will compete for one seat.

During this time, the Shinde faction of Shiv Sena decided to grant a ticket to the incumbent MP, Hemant Godse, for the Nashik seat. Chhagan Bhujbal, backed by the Ajit Pawar group, had long been vying for the Nashik seat, causing increased challenges for both the Shinde faction and the BJP.
