While the lack of cringe scenes catering to mainstream (or so they think) is a positive, the screenplay lacks excitement. The rubber band effect doesn’t really feel like one with slow scenes and twists or pseudo ones that fall flat. #Review #AjithKumar #AK

Ajith shines, but the screenplay drags!
Stylish thriller, lacks emotional depth.
Ajith is top-notch, and the story feels stretched.
Great visuals, slow pacing.
Anirudh's BGM rocks, screenplay wobbles.#VidaamuyarchiFDFS | #VidaaMuyarchiReview pic.twitter.com/GRByLWJrpK
Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the movie was earlier scheduled to release on Pongal 2025 but got postponed. Its music has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography handled by Om Prakash and editing done by N B Srikanth.
In an interview with OTTplay, Regina talked about her role in ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ and her experience. She said, “I think I am a versatile actor, and having done for 20 years, I know what I can, cannot do and work on. With Vidaamuyarchi, Magizh sir told me that there are scenes where people will be able to see the performer within me. In terms of layered character, I feel Vidaamuyarchi has given me that.”
“I had a lot of questions, and just knowing what I was going to be doing, the homework for character, got me excited. Magizh sir had written the character and poured in quite a bit into the role,” she added.
Meanwhile, according to the website Sacnilk, ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ collected Rs 7.66 crore in its advance bookings. Over 40 thousands tickets were sold.
