Produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd, Kuberaa is co-produced by Vipul Agarwal and Manish Vasisth.
Kuberaa follows the journey of a beggar named Deva (played by Dhanush), whose life changes after he meets Deepak Tej (Nagarjuna), a former CBI officer. Along the way, Deva also meets Sameera (Rashmika), a woman stuck in Mumbai trying to escape her situation. Jim plays the role of Neeraj Mitra, a corrupt CEO of a powerful corporation.
Speaking at a success meet after the film’s release, Nagarjuna said he considered himself the main character of Kuberaa. He explained, “Through this film, I am the main character in the film and everything else revolves around me. The screen space I got might be different, but that is not a criterion for me. This is Deepak’s film, right from start to end, and that is how Sekhar also told it when he narrated it to me. My arc is also likewise that, which is why I liked it.”
