‘Khichdi’, the popular sitcom on Indian television, will return for its third movie and fans couldn’t be more excited. For the unversed, Khichdi was first released as a serial but its world was expanded into movies due to its fan following. From its iconic characters to memorable dialogue, Khichdi is still loved by many since its premiere in 2002. The show has revived its popularity due to the meme culture on social media with its dialogues like ‘Main toh thak gayi’ and many others still making everyone laugh.

Anang Desai aka Tulsidas Parekh
Anang Desai played the role of Tulsidas Parekh, who is the head of Parekh family. He is often frustrated by the foolishness of his family members but loves them dearly.
Rajeev Mehta aka Praful
Praful is Tulsidas’ elder son and Hansa’s husband. He is naïve and often perceives things told to him differently, leading to some chaotic and hilarious situations.
Supriya Pathak aka Hansa
Hansa is Praful’s wife and is also innocent like her husband. She is not good with English language and relies on Praful’s wrong translations. She is also known for her iconic dialogue ‘Main Toh Thak Gayi Bhaisaab’, which is popular in meme culture.
Jamnadas Majethia aka Himanshu Seth
Himanshu is Hansa’s younger brother and is as foolish as his sister and brother-in-law. He also runs a catering business.
Vandana Pathak aka Jayshree
Jayshree is Tulsidas’ daughter-in-law. She is also the childhood friend of Hansa and wants to sell Tulsidas’ ancestral house.
At filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan’s YouTube channel, producer JD Majethia confirmed Khichdi 3. He said, “We will be making another Khichdi in 2027, Khichdi 3.” He also revealed that the team is planning to release Khichdi: The Movie in theatres again in May 2025.
