The unexpected exit of Paresh Rawal from the much anticipated Hera Pheri 3 shocked not only fans but Bollywood was also left stunned after he decided to quit the beloved iconic ‘Babu Bhaiya’ role. Earlier Suniel Shetty, who plays Shyam in the franchise, expressed his shock over Paresh Rawal’s sudden exit and said Hera Pheri 3 can not happen without him.
Now, actor Akshay Kumar has addressed the situation during the trailer launch of his upcoming film Housefull 5.
At the event, Akshay was asked about fans calling Paresh ‘foolish’ for leaving the comedy sequel. The comment did not go down well with the actor, who immediately defended his co-star.
Akshay stated firmly, “Sabse pehle toh mein aap ko kahunga ki using this kind of word for one of my co-stars, like a foolish word or something, I would not appreciate it. I would say that that’s not right. I’ve worked with him for the last 32 years. We are very good friends. He’s a great actor. I really admire him.”
Further talking about Paresh Rawal’s quitting the iconic Babu Bhaiya role, Akshay added, “Jo bhi kuch hai, I don’t think so this is a place where I’m going to talk about it. Whatever has to happen, it’s a very serious matter. It is a matter that is going to be heard by the court. So I don’t think I’m going to speak about it here.”
Hera Pheri 3 is entangled in a legal trouble. Paresh Rawal is facing a Rs 25 crore legal notice from Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films, over his sudden exit from the project.
Meanwhile, Akshay is gearing up for the release of Housefull 5.
