Bihar Girl Cuts Wrist Over Rs 1.5 Lakh iPhone Demand After Parents Say No

The girl wanted her parents to buy her an Iphone so that she could talk to her partner.

Bihar: An 18 year old girl from Munger, Bihar, hurt herself by cutting her wrist with a blade. She took this step after her parents refused to buy her an iPhone that costs Rs 1.5 Lakh. According to an India Today report, the girl wanted her parents to buy her a phone so she could talk to her partner, who already has one.

When the media asked the girl about the incident, she told that “I need an Apple phone. I don’t have any other problems, I have just a phone problem,”

The girl had been asking her mother for an iPhone for three months. She said she couldn’t talk to her partner, who she claimed she had run away with and married. The girl did not get what she asked for because her family did not have enough money. So, she locked herself in a room and started cutting her left wrist with a blade. Later she was taken to the hospital.

Her mother explained that the family didn’t have enough money to buy such an expensive phone. The girl has promised not to do something like that again. The doctors treating the girl said that even though the cuts aren’t very deep, they are taking care of them to prevent infections. The girl is stable and not in any danger.
