As per the latest Mumbai weather updates of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai will have a clear sky on Wednesday, 9 April. The temperature ranges from 24 degrees Celsius in the morning to 36 degrees Celsius during the day. The relative humidity is 78 percent.
The sun rises at 06:26 AM and sets at 06:54 PM. The Mumbai weather updates of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that Santacruz observatory in the suburbs of Mumbai had a maximum temperature of 34.6 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 26.5 degrees Celsius.
The city’s observatory in Colaba also recorded the maximum time temperature of 34.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 27.1 degrees Celsius, according to the weather department’s data.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), in a weather update for Mumbai, has predicted a “mainly clear sky” for the city and neighboring areas during the next 24 hours.
Mumbai weather update: AQI category ‘good’
According to the latest Mumbai weather update on April 9 from the Central Pollution Control Board’s SAMEER app, the city’s air quality was recorded in the category of ‘good,’ with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 83 at 9:05 am. As per the SAMEER app dashboard, multiple areas in Mumbai are reported to have categories of ‘good’ AQI. Bandra Kurla Complex is reported to have ‘good’ air quality with an AQI of 95.
Colaba, Malad and Borivali are also in the category of ‘good,’ with AQIs respectively of 59, 93 and 77. Additionally, Chembur and Shivaji Nagar were reported with categories of ‘moderate’ air quality, with respective AQIs of 104 and 124.
According to the SAMEER app data, Navi Mumbai was reported with ‘moderate’ air quality, AQI of 106, whereas Thane recorded ‘good’ AQI at 91. The air quality index is classified as from 0 to 100 ‘good,’ 100 to 200 ‘moderate,’ 200 to 300 ‘poor,’ 300 to 400 ‘very poor,’ and from 400 to 500 or above ‘severe.’
