Hyderabad: Four-Year-Old Dies After Being Crushed In Lift Gate While Playing

Authorities have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the circumstances leading to the tragic incident.

Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a four-year-old boy died after getting stuck in the gate of an elevator in Hyderabad. The incident occurred in Muktaba Apartments on Wednesday night. The boy has been identified as Narender, the son of apartment’s watchman. The child was playing near the elevator around 10 pm when the incident took place, stated the Asif Nagar police.

According to the police, someone pressed the lift button when Narender was inside the lift gate. This action caused the elevator to ascend with the boy stuck in the gate. He suffered severe injuries was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Authorities have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the circumstances leading to the tragic incident.

“While he was inside the lift gate, someone pressed the lift button, causing the elevator to ascend with Narender stuck in the gate. The child suffered severe injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared dead,” said police.

In a similar incident, a 6-year-old boy died after getting trapped between an elevator and concrete slab in Hyderabad last month. The incident occurred in an apartment located in the Shanti Nagar locality. The boy died on February 22 while undergoing treatment at Niloufer Hospital.
