A New Dawn – Formation Of The SSF
Conceived in January 2024 under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s vision, the SSF stands as a pioneering step by Punjab, making it the first state to create such a specialized force. It’s an initiative that has earned widespread accolades and serving as a model for other states aiming to diminish road-related fatalities.
The presence of SSF on Punjab’s highways is set to grow steadily. Currently equipped with a fleet of over 100 vehicles, SSF personnel are strategically stationed every 30 kilometers.
