Lounge access is one of the big attractions of credit cards. If you’ve been using your Tata Neu Infinity Credit Card from HDFC Bank to breeze into airport lounges, there’s an important update you can’t ignore. Starting June 10, the way you access domestic lounges is changing- and yes, it could affect your travel routine.
So, What’s Changing?
According to the Business Standard report, no More Simple Swipes – Until now, all it took was a swipe at the lounge counter to kick back and relax. That’s no longer the case. Swipe-to-access is being phased out.
Digital Vouchers
Going forward, lounge access will only be granted through digital vouchers. These vouchers won’t be automatic, but they’ll be issued only if you meet a certain spending threshold on your credit card. That means your airport comfort now depends on how much you’ve swiped recently.
How Can You Earn Vouchers?
To earn vouchers, cardholders must spend at least Rs 50,000 in a calendar-year quarter to earn a lounge access voucher
Once you hit the required spend on your Tata Neu Infinity Credit Card, HDFC Bank will send you a notification via SMS and email letting you know you’ve earned a lounge access voucher. You’ll have 120 days to claim the voucher, so don’t miss that window!
And once you claim it, you’ll have 180 days to use it- perfect for planning your next trip in comfort.
Lounge Access Limits
The company has kept access limits for lounge. A maximum of two domestic lounge accesses per quarter will be allowed. Additionally, it amounts to eight complimentary lounge accesses in a calendar year, provided the spending condition is met each quarter.
How And Where To Check Eligibility
- Cardholders can check their spending and voucher eligibility with the following steps:
- HDFC NetBanking or HDFC MobileBanking App
- Under the “Credit Cards” section, users should navigate to the “Rewards Portal” to track their lounge benefit status.
When Will This Rule Apply?
The current lounge access policy will remain valid until June 9. Until then, Tata Neu Infinity Credit Card holders can continue to enjoy the existing benefits, which include eight complimentary domestic lounge visits per year, capped at two visits per quarter. The new system will take over starting June 10.
